Bio:
Wren + Wilde is a folk-rock band based in Minneapolis, anchored by the lush, breathtaking harmonies of leading ladies Hilary Yoder (vocals, guitar) and Beth Olivares(vocals). Inspired by Laurel Canyon era acts, the band blends their mesmerizing rootsy vocals with the smokey grit and grease of southern rock and blues grooves. The women are supported by bandmates Corey Yoder (drums), Andre' DeSautel (guitar) and George Mitchell Jones (bass).
The band is the brainchild of husband and wife duo Hilary and Corey Yoder. The two met in Memphis, TN in 2007 where they formed folk Americana duo The Passerine. Hilary's soulful songwriting and fearlessly personal storytelling captivated audiences. They played the southern circuit and toured after the release of their album "Tumbleweed" before settling into Hilary’s hometown in Hastings, MN. The two took a break from music-making when they welcomed daughters Luella Wren and Scarlett Wilde to the world. After they emerged from the trenches of babyhood and toddlerdom they felt led to a fuller grittier sound. Thus Wren + Wilde was born.
